Silicon Mask Making materials?

I am learning mask making. I have everything purchased. I have my mask sculpted. I am wondering what is the material used to reinforce stress points in a mask. How to apply it. What to apply it with and at what point during the process of making it, is it used? Would appreciate input from experienced mask makers. Thanks!
Diane B. Thanks you for your insight. I like the info on your site too! I am talking about a Halloween mask. Laytex and Silicon. By stress points i am referring to the eyes, mouth and nose areas. I purchased a mask and there were what seemed to be a mesh around these areas. I am guessing it was for strength. I would also like to add this to my Silicon mask.

It’s hard to answer your question because there are so many different ways to make masks and so many different materials and techniques to make them with, and we don’t know which ones youhave in mind.
And you might also want to add what kind of “stress points” you’re referring to.

You used the word “silicon” in your subject line but that’s basically sand.
If you meant silicone, that’s one type of substance (2-part), that can be used as a molding material or even for small shapes, etc, but if that’s the spelling you meant you may be dealing with latex rubber materials since those are sometimes used in the mask making process.
