Will you please help me with ideas for door decorating contest week of Halloween on topic of Drug Awareness?
I teach 5th grade at a public school. We are having a door decorating contest for Red Ribbon Week, which is also the week of halloween. Red Ribbon Week signifies Drug Awareness and prevention. I need some decorating ideas..saying..etc..that would be appropriate for 5th graders drug awareness..
This MAY be too much for 5th graders in your school. But what about drugs make you ugly? There is a youtube video about that. It shows someone arrested on drug possession their first time and then like 6 months to a couple of years later and you can see what a toll it has taken on them.
But instead of ugly…. maybe it makes you scarier? Id rather be friends with Jason than this drug user? Id rather go trick or treating with Freddie cougar than this druggie? Something like that.
I personally think 5th graders can handle this but every school has different standards. Good luck! And Thank you for being a teacher!
